DBT Groups


STAGE 1: DBT Skills Groups


Adult DBT Skills Groups:


"These skills groups/ classes are for Adult individuals (18 & older) who are new to DBT or are actively learning to strengthen their DBT skill set.  In these groups we teach the fundamental DBT skills including: Core Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.  Individuals are typically in this group for a 1 year time frame."

Specialized DBT Tracks:


Adult DBT/PE Group:


"These groups are for Adult individuals who have been diagnosed with PTSD and a Trauma related disorder and want to further strengthen their ability to effectively experience emotions, cope and build a life worth living.  In this group we go into more depth on working through trauma with Prolonged Exposure techniques and DBT Skills while learning the specific modules of DBT." 


Adult DBT/ Addiction Group:

"These groups are for Adult individuals who have been struggling with a variety of addictions including: eating disorder, gambling, substance use and sexual addiction and want to further strengthen their ability to effectively work through their addiction with specialized DBT skills.  In this group we go into more depth on working through Addiction with specialized DBT techniques while learning the specific modules of DBT."

STAGE 2: Graduate DBT Groups


Adult Graduate DBT Groups:


"These groups are for Adults who have successfully completed the DBT Skills groups and looking for further support in their day to day skill use.  This group is meant to solidify and help generalize daily skill use and also provide an ongoing support network with other graduates to continue their journey on a long term basis.  This is a 12 week group that will review the main DBT skill modules and allow members to learn skills at a deeper level. Graduate DBT groups are offered in the Spring (April to July) and Fall (August to Jan). "
